Stella Felsinger

As a DPhil student at the Wright lab, I will develop machine learning technologies to monitor the nutritional state of honeybee colonies. The aim is to improve the welfare and survival of these colonies by detecting early signs of starvation or malnutrition.

My background is in palaeontology and ecology, having done my MScR in Geological Sciences with a research project in Bayesian Phylogenetics and a BSc in Natural Sciences (Biology and Geology) at Durham University. My previous research has centered on using computational methods to reconstruct the ecological and morphological evolution of various invertebrate groups.
